RCK - Check Collection & Representment

Collecting Bad Checks with the ACH using RCK
Bounced Checks are a real headache to receive and the headaches usually only grow trying to collect them. You can also do more than just collect the face value of the item, but any NSF fees if properly notified.

Bounced Checks can be submitted through the ACH for collection which allows for targeted debit dates and increases the chances of collection. Plus, the first in, first out treatment of electronic items at most banks adds a level of assurance that if the funds were in the account on the selected date, the electronic item would be settled among the first items in.

RCK collections through the ACH gives you the greatest opportunity to collect on bad checks even if you cannot contact the check writer. Returned check fees can even be debited in addition to the face amount of the check as a separate transaction as long as the proper procedures have been followed.
